I have grown to really love my morning exercise. It really changes your perspective on your week to know that each morning the first thing you’ve got to think about isn’t checking emails and rushing in to work.
A still avid learner surfer (yup, 2 years in and i’m still hanging with the kids on my enormous soft board), I try when I can to get in the water in the mornings. For the other three work day mornings when i’m too tired / the waves are big / I’ve got an early meeting / it’s not 100% blue skies (and other excuses) – I turn to surf inspired yoga.
Depending on how early I make it out of bed, I’ll usually do one of the below sequences.
These sequences are great for strengthening your back, core and arms, in addition to openning up your hips. Any runners – this is great for stretching after a run to keep those hips flexi and avoid back pain.
